Situated on a magnificent white-sand beach just a short distance from the quaint town of Playa del Carmen and the pier to Cozumel, the Sandos Riviera hotel section is located on the Mayan Riviera just 45 minutes from Cancun International Airport.

The Mayan Riviera is a protected area which still contains numerous traces of the fascinating Mayan civilization.

Sandos Riviera is strategically located a short distance from the ecological water parks of Xcaret (with its underground river, Dolphinarium, botanical gardens and stables) and Xel-Ha, and the archaeological sites of Tulúm and Cobá.
Playacar is a private complex with an impressive infrastructure, including an 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Von Hagge.

Local climate:

-Semitropical.

-The average annual temperature is 26ºC / 79ºF, and can reach 35ºC / 95ºF in the summer.

-During the day it gets very hot, so we recommend brining lightweight clothing.

-When taking excursions in the jungle, trousers, long-sleeved shirts and mosquito repellent are recommended.

-At night, the temperature drops and can become chilly, so and we suggest bringing a lightweight sweater or jacket.
